Curator’s Choice: Tea + Ritual

The Wolfsonian-FIU is partnering with the City of Miami Beach and neighboring institutions to present free monthly evenings from 6 to 9 p.m. For April’s Culture Crawl, the museum will take a deep dive into tea services, from countertop essentials to exhibition objects. Chief curator Silvia Barisione will have a conversation with JoJo’s Tea founder Michael Ortiz to talk about craftsmanship and design of the tea and coffee sets in “Modern Design Across Borders” and beyond. The conversation is from 7 to 8 p.m. and the ticketed tea ceremony, “The Art of Tea” goes from 8 to 9 p.m.
